DERMAL FILLERS & LIP FILLERS IN ESSEX
DERMAL FILLERS ESSEX & LIP FILLERS IN SOUTHEND-ON-SEA AT SNAP BEAUTY SALON
What are dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers consist of a naturally occurring substance known as hyaluronic acid which can be injected into the face and hands. This draws moisture to it which increases volume to the area.
At Snap Beauty Salon, we currently offer a comprehensive range of Dermal Fillers in Southend and Dermal Fillers in Essex. Areas currently offered are lips, cheeks, nano-labial folds, marionette lines, tear trough, jaw and chin.
What will happen during my dermal filler treatment?
Prior to your aesthetic treatment, you will have a full consultation with your aesthetic practitioner. They will go through your expectations from the treatment, as well as your suitability and medical history.
The average treatment time for a dermal filler treatment is around 45 minutes to one hour. A topical anaesthetic will be applied prior to having your dermal filler treatment. Most describe mild discomfort whilst having this treatment. There is minimal downtime, however, it’s best to give yourself 48 hours to recover.
We will thoroughly assess your existing concern and talk you through the entire process to assure you’re best informed.
You will be provided with full aftercare instructions, that will also be emailed to you.
Who will carry out my dermal filler treatment?
Our medically trained Aesthetic practitioners Isra, Niusha and Yvette are available to carry out our dermal filler treatment. Each of their portfolios is available on request.
Our aesthetic practitioners use the market-leading facial fillers available such as Juvederm, Intraline, Radiesse and Teosyal. We offer such a wide range of products to be able to cater to every client need when having fillers.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING COVID VACCINES AND AESTHETIC APPOINTMENTS
Although there is limited evidence and a very small number of cases, there is a risk of inflammatory reactions and soft tissue swelling in patients who have previously had soft tissue fillers or plan to have treatment, after receiving COVID-19 vaccination. As a result, you cannot be treated for the below:
Botox patients: cannot be treated one week pre or one week post COVID-19 vaccine.
Dermal filler patients: cannot be treated 3 weeks pre or 3 weeks post COVID-19 vaccine.
Do not attend for treatment if you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19 or are suffering from ongoing symptoms from a previous infection.
If you develop any reactions following your treatment, it is imperative you contact your healthcare practitioner at the earliest opportunity.
If you develop any reactions following your treatment, you may require medication to manage the complication. This may include oral steroid medication which may lower your immunity to COVID-19 if you have recently been vaccinated.
Do dermal fillers hurt?
Injections always bring some degree of pain. The Botox anti-wrinkle injections are almost painless and require no surface numbing however fillers tend to be more uncomfortable so we always apply topical numbing cream before injecting. Some of the fillers we use also have a local anaesthetic in them.
What are the side effects?
After having dermal fillers the injected area may be tender to touch, swollen and red. Occasionally some bruising may occur, this is usually short term and will subside within a few days. Lip treatments may take a little longer to settle, we recommend waiting one week to see the final results. If any reaction occurs, please contact your practitioner immediately.
What is the aftercare?
- Please avoid touching or rubbing the treated area for 12 hours.
- Avoid wearing makeup for 12 hours post-treatment.
- If you’ve received lip treatment, avoid using any product on your lips for 72 hours. If necessary, a moisturising lip balm can be used, however, this should be a brand new product to avoid cross-contamination.
- Clean all makeup brushes/sponges before applying makeup to the treated area, 12 hours post-treatment.
- Avoid smoking or drinking through straws for 6-8 hours post lip/mouth filler treatment.
- Avoid high-intensity exercise for 12 hours.
- Avoid extreme hot/cold weather for 7 days post-treatment, this includes saunas, sunbeds and
- Avoid swimming in pools and the sea.
- Avoid taking/consuming alcohol, aspirin or any similar medication, this may prolong and
increase the risk of bruising/discolouration to the treated area.
- Avoid sleeping on your face for the first 24 hours post-treatment & stay elevated for 8 hours
post fillers and botox treatment.
- Avoid chemical peels or any other facials for 2 weeks post-treatment.

Are there any conditions that may prevent me from having the treatment?
For both antiwrinkle and filler injections, we advise against them during breastfeeding and pregnancy or if you have any allergies to Botulinum Toxin®️, hyaluronic acid or lidocaine
We don’t treat anybody under the age of 18. For a full list of contraindications, please email us.
How long do dermal fillers and lip fillers last?
Fillers last up to 6-18 months depending on where they are injected. It all depends on how quickly your body breaks it all back down again. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring compound in the body that attracts water to it giving you the plump look but in time, your body breaks it down. The rate is different from person to person.
