Mascara on false lashes – the dos and don’ts!

Whether you have lash extensions or strip eyelashes, it can be very tempting to apply some mascara to them for that added volume. Unfortunately, this can often minimise the longevity of the lashes, as well as clogging them and making them hard to clean.

We often advise trying some strip lashes first if you’re a newbie to eyelash extensions, you’re then able to determine which kind of lash style is your preference before committing to extensions.

Here’s our dos and don’ts:

DoDon’t
• Do apply mascara to your natural lashes before applying strip lashes. We advise a light coating. • Apply lashings of mascara directly to your strip lashes, this can clog them and make them difficult to clean afterwards.
• Do try a bigger and fuller lash if you feel you may be tempted to put mascara on the lashes after applying. • Please don’t apply mascara to your lash extensions. Using mascara will aggravate your extensions, making them likely to fall out.

We have lots of styles of strip lashes that bring the drama if you’re looking for a fuller lash style. Here’s our top recommendations:

Snap Lash 02 is super full and fluffy! If you’re wanting to try out a smokey eye look – we absolutely love this lash.

Snap Beauty Strip Lash 03 is perfect for those who want to add length to their lashes, but do not want a necessarily dense and thick look. This fluffy lash is perfect whether you’re going for a natural eye look that focuses on the lashes, or a smokey eye to add some drama.
