Why start Botox as a preventative treatment?

What is Botox?

Botox treatments are available at Snap Beauty Salon, Southend. Botox is suitable for the majority of people who have wrinkles or any other fine lines they wish to remove. This treatment can be used to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles and almost lift the face, giving a more youthful and smooth appearance.

What is preventative Botox?

Deep static lines are hard to rid using Botox, therefore it is better to start your Botox journey younger; whilst you have very little or very slight static lines. Using Botox as a preventative treatment gives optimum results. Starting the treatment when your static lines are less deep and evident also improves the prevention of future static lines becoming deep. It is becoming popular to use preventative Botox at around the age 20-30 to prevent lines becoming deep, and a lot of the time, end up having less treatments later due to the preventative Botox used. Many people wait until they start to see signs of ageing, and wrinkles before they seek Botox treatment, however a preventative approach to Anti-wrinkle injections will lessen the chance of wrinkles emerging in the first place.

What does Botox do?

Botox is a popular treatment not only for cosmetic purposes, but for medical purposes too. Despite it being an admired treatment in many places purely cosmetic reasoning, Botox can be very effective at treating migraines, teeth grinding and excessive sweating. Many people, however, rely on Botox cosmetically – to remove fine lines and wrinkles. When Botox is used, it essentially weakens the muscles and therefore prevents the muscles from moving which would normally cause wrinkles, therefore reduces the wrinkles appearing. When using preventative Botox, it slows down the use of the muscles where injected, for example, around the mouth, eyes, and eyebrows. This then prevents and delays the development of wrinkles and fine lines in those areas. If you get treatment after your wrinkles and deep static lines have already formed, it is a lot harder for the Botox to target the muscles as they have already created deep static lines. This is why preventative Botox is such a great solution.

Is Botox safe?

Botox is a relatively safe treatment to undergo, but only when treated by a trained professional. Here at Snap Beauty, Southend we have two fully trained medical practitioners (Isra and Niusha) who carry out our Botox treatments at the salon.

After your treatment with us, we always warn our clients that they may experience slight bruising however this is normal, and dependant on how prone you are to bruising. It also does not affect the final result of your Botox. Some clients have report headaches post-treatment however this is only temporary and very common for after your first ever botox treatment. Other side effects to be prepared for are swelling, redness at the injection (this is very temporary and will subside within a few hours), as well as a  bit of discomfort . Rest assured, our medical practitioners are fully trained and will give you all the advice and instructions you need to ensure your post-treatment side effects are as minor as possible, and of course – great end results!

How long does it last?

The length of which your Botox will be effective can vary from client to client. There are many factors that can determine how long your treatment will last. However, between 2-6 months is usually the normal time frame for Botox treatments to last. Many clients tend to notice their first time lasts less time, and the more treatments received, the longer it lasts. Everyone is different, so the time can vary.
